Raised in a household where not only was my father an electrical technician, who often designed and created systems, but as a youngster I grew up watching Looney Tunes on a Saturday morning while my older brother took apart computers and put them back together. To say the least, I learned a thing or two, later becoming a hobbyist of fixing my own computers and devices, in addition, friends and family members computers, etc. Never done it for money, just a genuine interest and curiosity in the world of technology.
In 2015, I took over a small business that was originally called “Computers by Scott.” Scott had an established client base and he was looking to move to Virginia and hoped for a good home for his clientele in his absence. After looking for a considerable amount of time Scott found me and thought I had the expertise and the people skills to take over the business. After much thought, prayer, and guidance… I took the leap of faith!
Often geeky/nerdy people who are involved in tech are often socially awkward, however I have never met a stranger. I really try to help people understand their technology, often teaching them how different components work. My customers seem to appreciate how I talk their language, not using computer-ese vocabulary. I try not to judge their ignorance, making sure I am getting on their level to have a conversation about the issue.
I love the interactions with people and seeing smiles exiting the establishment. I know that sounds cliche but when it comes to this business there is an immediate gratification in a completed job done well.
How do I want my clients to feel when doing business with me? Valued. Loyal. Understood. Peace. Fair. We do everything possible to achieve this.
I am a southern peach transplanted in Maine. Moved to coastal Downeast in 1998 at the tender age of 15 and never intended to stay. I went to college in San Antonio, Texas for 2 years then ventured off to Sydney, Australia for 3 years. When I came home for what I thought would be a short period, I ended up meeting my future husband…13 years and six kids later, here I am. I have always loved administrative work, as it allows my organization and creative skills an outlet to grow and do things that reach beyond me. I have worked in this type of field in various ways over the last 20 years, so I am excited to be a part of this team and see it thrive as we work with the wonderful people of these coastal towns.

I found my passion for Web Design in High School when I took a simple web design class as a superlative. I loved the idea of coding a simple layout and watching my typing skills create something magical that I loved! My very first website was a site I created for my high school marching band. My school was going to actually use it on their website but my teacher accidentally deleted it. I was crushed.
After high school, I took a few years off before going to college and taking some classes to hone my skills a bit more. Nick and I were friends in high school and reconnected over social media years later. He told me about his company, The Computer Guy, and that he was looking to bring on a web designer. It couldn’t have worked out more perfect it we tried. I took the job and have been working for the company ever since.

Born and raised in Downeast Maine, I have always been captivated by the world of technology. From a young age, I found myself not just fixing broken devices but also learning the intricate details behind how they worked. Little did I know this curiosity would spark a lifelong passion for IT.
Every challenge, from troubleshooting software glitches to rebuilding hardware systems, helped sharpen my skills and deepen my understanding of technology. My time as an apprentice under the IT Manager at Washington Academy was pivotal, providing me with the hands-on experience I needed to refine my abilities.
Today, as a proud member of TCG, led by my good friend Nick, I’m excited to embark on this new chapter. Working alongside Nick’s talented team not only pushes me to continually grow as a professional but also allows me to give back to the community I’ve always called home.
